Frequently Asked Questions

Can you have other waste items collected at the same time as your metal collection?

Yes, we also specialise in most types of rubbish removal services, so if you're happy with our quote, we can take it all away at the same time as your scrap metal collection.

What items can be taken away with your scrap metal collection service?

We can collect household scrap metal, such as:

  • Ovens
  • Washing machines
  • Microwaves
  • Pots and pans
  • Bikes
  • Barbeques
  • Metal garden furniture
  • Metal racking
  • Radiators (not oil filled)

Items we can’t collect:

  • Equipment containing batteries
  • Metal chairs with upholstery (these items could be taken for a charge, see restricted items)
  • Metal pressurised containers / gas bottles
  • Fridges and fridge freezers (these items could be taken for a charge, see restricted items)

What happens to your scrap metal once it’s collected?

Your scrap metal items will be taken for recycling. After processing, your items will be melted down and reused in manufacturing.

It’s always best to consider if your items can be reused but if they’re old or faulty, then at least you know they won’t go to waste.
